Ballarat Farmer's Market

Ballarat Farmers Market has operated on the shores of Lake Wendouree for over a decade. As one of the first farmers markets in the area, we’ve seen the market scene shift and change over the years. There are now many local monthly markets in the Ballarat region, so we hope you support lots of them! If you love markets, there’s a market on every weekend around our lovely town!

We operate here from 9 am to 1 pm on the Second Saturdays of the month, opposite the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. There are usually 40-50 stalls in attendance with a wide range of fresh produce and processed goods: vegetables, fruit, coffee beans, bread, hot drinks, hot food, grains & pulses, eggs, honey, precooked vegetarian food, cheese, olive oil, soap, vegetable & flower seedlings, native plants, fresh-ground locally blended coffee, healthy snack bars, fudge, hydroponic tomatoes and vegetables... the list goes on!

Many of our stallholders are seasonal so the make-up changes over the course of the year - coming to the market is a good way of tuning in to eating seasonally.
